日前,美国化学会通过旗下 C EN 杂志公布了2017年新增 ACS Fellow 名单。2017年共有65位科学家当选 ACS Fellow,其中两位科学家来自中国:陈洪渊院士;国家千人计划专家王洪学博士。

ACS Fellows 简介

ACS Fellows 是美国化学会所设立的极高荣誉,用于认可和表彰会员在科学和专业方面所获得的巨大成绩,和在支持学会工作中所作出的重要贡献。

ACS Fellows 遵守提名推选制,对提名人/组织和被提名人均有严格的规定。选举工作由美国化学会前任理事长所推荐的选举委员会负责,终由专业预会员关系委员会进行任命,同时P MR通过ACS Fellows监督委员会对全部进程予以监督,以保证选举的公平与公正。由于选举标准很高,通常每一年只有几10位科学家当选。

2017美国化学会新晋会士之陈洪渊院士

中国科学院院士,南京大学教授。现任:分析科学研究所所长,校学术委员会委员,化学化工学院学术委员会主任;中国质谱学会理事长,中国化学会常务理事, 江苏省化学化工学会理事长。长时间兼任国家、部、省级科教社会团体和高校学术机构的各种职务,为国家科教事业与经济社会的发展效率。

专业建树

陈洪渊院士需要使用恒速运动的是1位的分析化学家和教育家, 致力于电分析化学的科研和教学50多年,在电分析化学基础与利用的多个前沿领域做出了贡献。在微电极理论和利用方面,解决了1系列复杂体系电流的求解问题,在上个世纪90年代,提出了稳态反应-分散层概念,解决了电化学基础理论中复杂体系数理方程求解繁琐,或没法求解的困难,研究论文被国际电化学家AJ Bard援用在其所著的《Electrochemical Methods: Fundamentals and Applications》经典教科书中,影响广泛。阵列微带电极的理论成果被国际纯洁与利用化学联合会采取,纳入总结自1976年提出微电极概念至2000年期间,该技术发展的技术报告中;首创了在场效应管绝缘栅界面的纳米组装,研制成国国务院副总理马凯组织召开各地加快铁路建设座谈会际上支纳米粒子桥联的场效应管生物传感器。在生命分析方面,建立了1系列核酸、蛋白质、辅酶等生物份子高灵敏、高选择的分析方法;发明的芯片电泳安培法既检测电活性物资又检测非电活性物资,拓宽了芯片实验室的利用范围。迄今,已在Chem. Rev. 、PNAS、Nat. Biomed. Eng.、JACS、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 、Anal. Chem. 等SCI期刊发表论文800余篇,SCI他引25500余次,H-index 81;合著编译书8册,授权专利15项;大会报告400余次;入选中国高被引学者榜单 。

在分析化学学科面临发展瓶颈和严重挑战的年代,率先提诞生命分析化学新理念,拓宽并首创了新的分析领域;建成创新群体,创建了生命分析化学国家重点实验室, 推动国内这1新兴交叉学科领域的构成和发展,并成为国际分析化学发展的1个重要方向。曾获国家自然科学2等奖 、何梁何利科技进步奖 、教育部自然科学1等奖 2 项 ; 荣获: 全国模范教师、全国先进工作者、《Nature》杰出导师毕生成绩奖、第5届中国化学会-中国石油化工股分有限公司化学贡献奖等。他也是1位战略科学家,主持和参与国家、部委等科技发展计划和战略的制定,及重大研究计划项目的评定;多年担负国家高科学技术嘉奖委员会委员,参加国家高科学技术奖、国家自然科学奖及重大项目的评审。

学会贡献

陈洪渊院士是美国化学会现任Analytical Chemistry和ACS Sensors期刊的顾问编委。屡次组织和主持了多个分析化学和生物-化学传感器、微流控芯片全分析系统等方面的国际会议和研讨会,并担负大会的主席、名誉主席,或学术委员会主席。特别是在他任全国分析测试学会副理事长时间间,为推动中国BCEIA机构与美国PITTCON 的交换合作,增进中国化学工作者积极参加PITTCON会议及其它学术会议和中美学者双边合作做出了重要贡献。

ACS Fellows Program

The purpose of the ACS Fellows Program, one component of the broader ACS Awards Program, is to recognize and honor members of the American Chemical Society for their outstanding achievements in and contributions to the science and the profession and for their equally exemplary service to the Society.

The ACS Fellows Program has very strict eligibility and selection criteria. ACS Fellows are selected by a broadly representative Selection Committee recommended by the ACS Immediate Past President and appointed by the Chair of the ACS Board Committee on Professional and Member Relations . P MR, acting through the ACS Fellows Oversight Committee, conducts governance oversight for the ACS Fellows Program.

Because of the restriction of the selection criteria, usually only dozensof chemists are selected as ACS Fellows per year. In 2016, there were only 57 ACS Fellows and among them, only one from China, i.e., Prof. Xi Zhang from Tsinghua University.

The 2017 American Chemical Society Fellows were announced in the June 19 issue of Chemical Engineering News. There are 65 ACS Fellows in total and two of them are from China. One is Prof. Hong-Yuan Chen from Nanjing University and one is Dr. James Wang from Sinopec. Beside their outstanding achievements in and contributions to science and the profession, they have also made great contributions to the Society. Today, lets find out more of their contributions to science and to the ACS community.

Prof. Hong-Yuan Chen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has started his research career in Analytical Chemistry at Nanjing University since the early 1960s. He was as a Visiting Scholar at the Mainz University in West Germany in period of 1981~84 supported by Adenaur Stiftung. He is the founder and director of the State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science, a world-renowned research base in the field of analytical chemistry. Prof. Chen served as the advisory board member for Analytical Chemistry and ACS Sensors. He acted as the National Representative of China in International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry during the 1990s. He organized and hosted a series of international conferences/symposium on the field of analytical chemistry, biosensors, Lab-on-a-Chip etc. and served as the Chairman/Co-chairman. Prof. Chen won the Advanced Achievement Award in Science and Technology from the Ministry of Education, P.R. China and the National Advanced Achievement Award in Natural Science of China , and also won other personal honors, e.g. National Model Teacher and National Advanced Scientific Worker . In 2015, Prof. Chen was recognized as Nature Lifetime Award for Outstanding Scientific Mentoring by the Nature Publishing Group. He was awarded with the Chemistry Contribution Prize of Chinese Chemical Society in 2016.

Prof. Hong-Yuan Chens researches encompassed a wide variety of fields such as bioanalytical chemistry, electrochemistry, microfluidic Lab-on-a-Chip, nanoscience and nanotechnology, catalysis, and biomedical engineering. He has made substantial contributions through publications , over 400 oral lectures. In 2017, he was listed as one of the Chinas Most Cited Researchers by Elsevier.

Prof. Hong-Yuan Chen has a strong track rec实验所需的弯心直径取决于中厚钢板的厚度ord of original scientific contributions since 1960s. He has made groundbreaking contributions to the field of microelectrodes. In the 1990s, he proposed the concept of the steady-state reactiondiffusion layer to study the electrode processes with multistep reactions at microelectrodes, which had resolved the mathematical difficulty regarding the complex electrochemical theoretical equations, and then the results had been cited as a reference in the classic textbook: Electrochemical Methods: Fundamentals and Applications . Moreover, the basic theory he presented on microelectrode array was recorded in the official TECHNICAL REPORT by International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry in 2000, which documented the achievement on the research field of microelectrodes since 1976. Interested in a broad range of functionalized nanomaterials and patterned nanostructures, Prof Chen has also introduced nanotechnology and biotechnology to the field of electrochemistry in China and has conducted substantial experimental and theoretical studies in this area. He has exploited the unique electronic, mechanical, electrochemical and interfacial properties of these materials to address critical issues in both fundamental studies and real-world applications toward various life-related substances for more than 50 years. Currently, his research focuses on the in-depth study of the electrochemical and photophysical properties of nanomaterials for the innovative bioanalytical techniques based on their photoelectric interconversion processes, i.e., electrochemiluminescent and photoelectrochemical bioanalysis in the combination with mass spectrometric technique, as well as their advanced bioanalytical applications toward especially the detection of single cells.
